2 Month Update
Well there has been a lot going on with my locks since the last time I posted. I am very pleased with my locks but sometimes it can be very frustrating. I start my locks with about 3 inches of hair with several different hair types. Very coarse in the top and soft in the back. The top is progressing beautifully and my hair is growing pretty fast but the back just don't seem to want to cooperate. I have had major slippage and several times some of them have completely unravel...ugh. I have the BEST consultant in the world Ms Laura Cummings! We have become the best of friends because I can't go more than 2 weeks without going in to see here. I must it admit, it has been getting better. Each week I notice less and less slippage but I just can't wait till this stage is over! Don't get me wrong, I am enjoying my journey and have NO regrets about my decision to take this journey other than I should have done this many years ago!!
Here is my biggest problem PERSPIRATION! Just the mention of the word perspiration, my hair begins to unravel. I have stopped exercising and most activities to reduce the chance of prespiring which results in slippage but nothing seems to work. I can be asleep at night and wake up with my hair dripping wet...(menopause) next thing I know, 3 rows in the back of my head are completely unraveled... What a pain! but I wouldn't trade the experince for anything. I will post pictures that I have taken over the past 2 months this weekend.
Be Blessed!!

Well a lot has been happening with my baby locks since the last time I entered a post. I started taking vitamins and they seem to be working. I noticed how thick my locks were after just 2 weeks. I think I will continue to take them.
I am still excited about my Sisterlocks, although the journey hasn't always been easy. I went to Paramount Carowinds(Amusement Park) last Sunday and let's just say it wasn't the best of ideas. I sweat a lot in my head and last Sunday it was extremely hot! I wore a hat thinking that would help proctect my babies but that made it worse. My hair was soak and wet by the time we left. And the hat had rubbed out several of my babies in the back and on the sides. I went for my first retighening today and because of all of the slippage from my amusement park adventure it took about 4 hours....Lesson learned!
Here are some pictures from my first retightening at 3 weeks. I can already see the changes and still enjoying my journey.

One more day till I join the Sisterlock Family
Hello All,
This is my first time ever blogging but I am so excited about getting my sisterlocks and after seeing so many sisterlocked Sisters blogging about their journey, I couldn't resist. I go for my installation on Friday and Saturday and I can hardly wait to take pictures to post! I am so excited about starting my journey to freedom!
